Welcome to the Danish Natural History Society
The Danish Natural History Society, founded in 1833 and based in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a professional society for natural history, affiliated with the University of Copenhagen, and hosted by the Natural History Museum of Denmark. The society presently has about 300 members, mainly in Denmark.
Activities include:
- Evening lectures, covering a wide range of topics within biology and natural history, with emphasis on zoology.
- Visits to Danish Institutions with a working area within biology.
- Excursions to Danish and foreign destinations, guided by Danish zoologists and botanists.
- The society publishes Danmarks Fauna, a set of comprehensive keys to the Danish fauna.
